As of 10 September 2026

We treat your data the way we would expect ours to be treated: we collect what we need for our work, we pass nothing on, and you can ask at any time what we hold. This statement follows the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP).

What we process

Why

E-mails

We write to you when it concerns your bike or your account: sign-in, appointment confirmation, invoice, a service that is due. We send marketing only if you have allowed it, and you can switch it off in your account at any time.

The public service book link

When you want to sell your bike, you can create a link in the portal. Whoever opens it sees the service history, the condition of the parts and the specification. Not visible: your name, your frame number, where you ride and what you paid. The link expires after 90 days and can be revoked at any time.

Cookies and analytics

We only set what is needed to operate: one cookie for sign-in and one for the language. No advertising cookies, no tracking services, no profiles. The website embeds a Google map; when it loads, Google receives your IP address.

Where the data lives

These providers work on our behalf and under our instructions. We do not sell data and do not pass it to third parties unless the law requires it.

How long

As long as you are a customer, and afterwards as long as the law requires. Invoices and accounting records for ten years. An account you have deleted is gone; what must remain in the books remains without reference to your account.

Your rights

You can ask what we hold about you, have errors corrected, have your profile picture and account deleted, and switch off marketing. Write to info@bikehub.ch or tell us in the shop. Complaints go to the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Changes

If anything changes, it will be here with a new date.
